There are many different ways to create a spending plan or a budget. The ‘right’ way is the one that helps you plan how to use your money each month, helps you avoid wasting money, helps you save for your financial goals, and most importantly, is easy to maintain. My personal favorite is the zero-based spending plan because it gives every dollar a purpose. Idle money is spent money, so make sure your money is accounted for. Here’s how you do it:
